Awwww Sheila!!! What a cute baby! :)  He has dark, fuzzy hair and a lot of character in his mouth and nose!!! Looks like a sweet tempered baby, at least he's almost smiling in one of the pictures and alert, bright eyes!  He has his hand to his mouth and eyes shut in one of the pictures, probably getting close to snack time for him there. But he's a good baby (all babies are good when they're asleep, lol)  Congratulations he looks great!

I'd say you have every reason to be a proud Aunt ~ I know I am!!! :)  He is a real sweetheart.  We finally got to see him for a little bit last evening.  Hope your turn can come real soon!!!

well I was going to try to describe him, but the first comment pretty much says it all.....dark hair, distinguished mouth and nose, I think his name fits him well.....so precious, congratulations to all the happy people!

Awww! He's so cute! Makes me excited for ours! He has very distinguished features. Long mouth with the two distinct (how do I say) bumps (not a very good word) on the top lip. I think that's a Rhodes mouth, but I couldn't say for sure. He has a nice size nose. It's not a little button nose. He has straight black hair and a good complexion. He has the Rhodes' checks. Sorry I don't know what the Heatwole's side looks like very good to pick out those features. :( The one picture, he is looking at the person holding him and he has a grin on his face. Smart baby! :) And the other one he's sleeping and has his hand on his mouth. What a cutie patutie! Can't wait to see him. I KNOW you can't either. Don't forget my offer! ;)

It is fun to observe newborns, as I have been doing for the past week.   When Marissa Raine was born 5/31/09, I told Veronica that I would have guessed her to be a girl just by looking at her face alone.   Your nephew has a boyish face.  He has a long defined nose, broad mouth and his features just tell you what he is.   I think it's so precious to see God's handiwork.  I love his crown of dark hair too.  How much did he weigh?  His oval face looks a bit on the slender side.

I have been trying to get over here and take up your challenge to describe Elijah to you. Things have been rather non stop here in Hat land. I am thinking on it though. I will come back and do my best to tell you what I see in the photos. He is beautiful. We can start there. smile

I got to see him tonight at Andrea's graduation party.  He has a lot of dark, black hair and a dark complexion.  Hard to believe that Alex was that size when he was born.  Will we get to see you when you come up?

I'm not really a baby person...I love them more at about 18mos or so. (But you know I'll adore my own.) So it's hard for me to say a baby is beautiful because I rarely see it other than valuing the new life before me and the parents' love. That said, your nephew is precious, looks perfect, and that color photo shows he's a vary handsome fellow. I realize those are all opinion adjectives, and won't paint a word picture for you, but his even features would sound generic if I described them. And he's certainly not generic. Now that he's here, there's more love in the world. Congrats, Aunt Sheila.
